Pungent Stench - Miscarriage
Pungent Stench was a darkly humorous death metal band from Vienna, Austria who formed in 1988. They pitched in for a split lp with fellow country men Disharmonic Orchestra and out of that fuzzy gem this song came around to uplift my hopes in way of a cool mix of death-grind-thrash genre bending. Treacherous time shifts, precise stop on a dime thrash riffage and slimy gutteral vocals. Too bad I couldn't get into their later work.

A very funny song by one of the greatest Death Metal bands, Pungent Stench. I've always thought of this as the Death Metal version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Youve GOT to listen to the whole thing to have the most fun, as it chops and changes every couple of minutes. From the compilation album Praise the Names of the Musical Assassins (1997 I think) which says that it was originally released on Drahdiwaberls Sperminator. Im really not sure how much Drahdiwaberl had to do with the song so if any even more Pungent obsessed fans know, say so.
