"30.09.2009 / Reunion" (pt. 1/2)
This film documents of the reunion of the former Death Metal Trio FINALLY DECEASED from Lübeck/ Nothern Germany/ Baltic Sea Region. Part 1 contains footage from the first meeting of the band after having split up in 1997, listening to some of the old stuff and presenting each other some other inspiring music from the meantime. The video footage is arranged to the title "Path of Hope", one of the latest songs from FINALLY DECEASED, taken from the (furthermore unreleased) 1995 studio recording. Part 2 contains a five minute live session kindalika death metal unplugged which is the very first performance of FINALLY DECEASED after a brake of 12 years. An outro sequence finally contains some more musical impressions from way back, as well as a short series of fresh band-fotos as a result of that evenings reunion act. By the way: Lars did not only play a right-hand guitar though he is left-handed. He coincidentally plays the guitar with an (unused) Metallica-Pick and comes to quote the 'tallica tune "Welcome Home (Sanatorium)" during the second part of the improvisation: If you don't know, here is a very nice live performance of that song: www.youtube.com That pick was given to me by a 'tallica crew member, minutes before my wife and me were lucky to accompany the 'tallica boys entering the stage at Cologne's Lanxess arena on 17th of may 2009 (my personal kindalika once in a lifetime 'tallica moment).
