Beyond the Divide - Hate Needs a Face (Official Video)
In January of 2011, four Cincinnati area musicians came together to form the band Beyond the Divide, an all-original heavy metal band consisting of Billy Cole, Chris Jacobsen, Mike Reichert, and Roy Smith. Billy and Mike, longtime friends and previous band-mates, had discussed putting together an all original, old-school, thrash band several times. Mike had long wanted to transition back to guitar, while also trying his hand at lead vocals. Billy was fresh off his latest project, Godolized, in which he played with drummer Roy Smith. Billy and Roy had decided to part ways with their former band to pursue new endeavors with Mike. The three immediately gelled and songs came to fruition quickly. The band soon added it's final member...Chris Jacobsen. His masterful bass playing sent the songs in a completely new direction. The foursome continues to write original music that is rooted in "old school" metal. Their live show is full of movement and energy that never lets up. The band is currently at work on their first 8 song demo.
