Sanctorum - Flight of the Dragons [Death/Doom]
Sanctorum was an underground Death/Doom metal band from north Greece - Veria/Edessa. The band consisted of three members, Jim on guitar/vocals, Christos on the drums and Peter on the bass. At the time of the recordings were at the age of 15. This track is from their demo ''Crystal Tears Of Silence'' ,recorded at Rover Studios Thessaloniki in 1993. Trivia : that demo consisted of 3 songs in total lenght of 33 minutes, and the analogue tape the band bought was 30 minutes long, unfortunately they couldn't afford to buy a new one, hence the had to play all 3 songs a bit faster and without any change to re-record the erroneous parts !

"Gebel Barkal" is a vinyl only 7" single by the stoner/doom band Om. It is the first release of the 2008 Sub Pop singles collection and is limited to 1500 copies. This is the first recording by Om to feature drummer Emil Amos. Track List 1. "Gebel Barkal" - 4:44 2. "(Version)" - 4:33 After the demise of Sleep there were two main projects that arose: High on Fire and Om. High on Fire as we all know is Matt Pike's project which is more technical and heavy as all get out. Om, manned by rhythm section Al Cisernos and Chris Hakius, slowed things down a bit to create the mantra like stoner doom that we all love and enjoy.
