Aosoth is a French Black Metal band created by MkM (Antaeus) in 2002. Aosoth is a dark female force in the pantheon of the Order of the Nine Angels. The Aosoth Logo was created by Erik Danielsson of Watain. --- HOLY FUCK! And the words actually describe the lyrical content quite accurately... This band is a newborn in the French black metal scene, one that's been thriving in the past few years. Unsurprisingly, it shares the same lyrical topics -- going around the territory of "religious" black metal, as the buzzword goes these days, but not directly submitting to it; sort of like Antaeus. And that's not a coincidence in the least, because the one thing that is going to compel you to hear this band is its vocalist -- none other than MkM of Antaeus. Being that his main band is almost on hold due to lack of funds and competent musicians, he obviously decided to delve into other projects, and might I say, his appearance in Aosoth is most welcome. Not only is he one of the best vocalists in the business today, but the music of Aosoth is very akin to that of Antaeus. Even if the first few seconds of "Songs Without Lungs" are enough to remind you of Antaeus, this is not just about that.
