He was more concerned about what authorities thought and the movement countering the Romans, rather than Who it was who called him and loved him unto the end. At some point or another, we have all betrayed the Lord.. all have 'lost faith' and gone astray. We're probably still betraying him now. Jesus prayed for Peter, so that after his fall he would rise, and be the help his brother apostles would need in the hard times ahead. Jesus is counting on US as well to not despair, but to rise up in faith and holiness before the Father, so as to be witnesses to others of his precious and liberating love. ------------------------------------- "Judas? With Special thanks to my friend, fiskehora, for teaching me the band name's. Sphinx was a one-off project by Alec R. Costandinos based on the betrayal of Jesus by Judas. Very similar in sound to "Romeo and Juliet" and "Hunchback of Notre Dame." Alec R. Costandinos, (b. Alexandre Kouyoumdjian in 1944 in Cairo, Egypt). His father was Armenian and his mother was Greek. He has long been considered one of the original catalysts of the French disco scene of the 70's. He was also intimately involved as a writer, publisher and musician in the development of Aphrodite's Child with Vangelis and Greek-born pop singer, Demis Roussos. Aside his name, he has also written under the pseudonym R. Rupen, which is rumoured to be his middle name. On the disco front, he contributed to the debut album of Crystal Grass, which featured the club hit "Crystal World", released on the Philips label in France. Alec was also the publisher of hits for various artists including French chanteuse Dalida. He is known for his outstanding collaborations that assisted in the development of French disco drummer Cerrone. During Cerrone's tenure with John Kongos and later fusion act Kongas, their collaboration "Anikana-O", led to the solo release of Cerrone's "Love In C Minor". The 17 minute disco opus was an instant disco hit and sent shockwaves through the club circuit, echoing Donna Summer's ode to love from a male perspective. Black Metal from the United States. My 2 favorite Judas Iscariot songs. From "Moonlight Butchery" EP, 2002 Judas Iscariot was an American black metal band. It began in 1992 in DeKalb, Illinois as the solo-project of Andrew Harris. With the release of Heaven In Flames (1999), Duane Timlin (aka Cryptic Winter) joined the band as a session drummer. During 1999 and 2000, Akhenaten twice performed live with a line-up featuring members from Nargaroth, Krieg, Absu and Maniac Butcher. After relocating to Germany, Akhenaten announced the demise of Judas Iscariot on August 25, 2002. FWNietzsche is a big influence in the music of Judas Iscariot.
