The album peaked at #10 on the Billboard 200 album chart, #3 on the Top Country Albums chart and reached #38 on the UK Albums Chart; it is RIAA certified gold in sales. "Jacob's Dream" was written by Julie Lee and John Pennell and tells the story, in song, of the "Lost Children of the Alleghenies", a true 19th century folk story of two young Pennsylvania Appalachian boys, age seven and five, who wandered away from their home, became lost in the forest and were later found dead of exposure to the elements. The video is from the GAC Television special "Alison Krauss, A Hundred Miles or More: Live From the Tracking Room", shown on PBS and released on DVD by Rounder Records. I don't pretend to be anywhere near the guitarist Dan is. or Hal for that matter, but this is a great song and fun to play. Hey Pardner, I was using our PA system! I didn't have it turned up very loud, though. Maybe I'll put up a better version later.

Jacob's Dream is an American Christian power metal band originally based out of Columbus, Ohio, that formed in the mid 1990s under the name of Iron Angel. Their first three full length releases were released on the Metal Blade Records label.They are known for sounding like Queensryche.The band features guitarists John Berry and Jon Noble, bassist James Evans, drummer Gary Holtzman, and frontman Chaz Bond. The groups first major release was in 2000 with their self titled album Jacobs Dream which was released on Metal Blade Records. The bands original vocalist David Taylor left after the second album Theater of War due to family commitments. Taylor was then replaced by ex-Biogenesis vocalist Chaz Bond who first appeared on the 2005 album Drama of the Ages. The sound of the band could be described as that of Iron Maiden or Judas Priest with slightly more progressive tendencies, similar to that of Fates Warning, but heavier.
