"The Fly"- U2 - Demon Beelzebub
Beelzebub! Lord of the Flies! "The Fly" song by rock band U2. Is this song a reference to Beelzebub - 'Lord of the Flies'? Beelzebub - Prince of Demons. A line from U 2's "The Fly" lyrics, "It's no secret that the stars are falling from the sky". Falling "stars" = fallen angels? Demons? Something to think about. Beelzebub - Later mythology - Wikipedia -"Beelzebub is commonly described as placed high in Hell's hierarchy; he was of the order of cherubim. According to the stories of the 16th century occultist, Johann Weyer, Beelzebub led a successful revolt against Satan, and is the chief lieutenant of Lucifer, the Emperor of Hell, and presides over the Order of the Fly.
